NAKI-JOIN ang Kapuso couple na sina Iya Villania at Drew Arellano sa pagsisimula ng government vaccination program para sa ikaapat na kategorya ng essential workers sa bansa.
Ayon kay Iya, talagang hinihintay niya ang araw na mababakunahan na siya para muling magkaroon ng lakas ng loob na makapagtrabaho sa labas ng kanilang bahay.
Mula kasi nang mag-lockdown dulot ng COVID-19 pandemic hanggang ngayon na nasa general community quarantine uli ang Metro Manila ay work from home pa rin siya.
“Never been so excited about getting vaccinated before. Drew and I were ecstatic to be part of the opening of the A4 category vaccination program!
“Very timely for me now that work is starting to take me outside of my home,” ang caption ni Iya sa kanyang Instagram photo habang tinuturukan ng COVID-19 vaccine.
Kasunod nito, hinikayat din ng Kapuso actress at TV host ang lahat ng Pinoy na kabilang sa A4 category na magpabakuna na rin para sa kaligtasan na lahat ng essential workers.
“This is it guys! If you are that essential worker in your home that needs to leave the house to provide, now is your chance to get protected!
“Do it for yourself, your family and for the nation. Each person vaccinated is a step closer to us achieving herd immunity and a chance to get our old norm back!
“Don’t we all want that?! Our poor children need to be free outside yet we also want them to be safe!” mensahe pa ni Iya.
Pahayag pa niya, “They said that we need 70% of our population vaccinated to be able to say that the 30% who aren’t yet vaccinated are also protected. We can get there if you do your part and get that shot.
“All vaccinations being administered here are safe, effective and WHO approved! Let’s not be choosy. We were more than happy to get Sinovac. We can achieve herd immunity only if you too get that shot… no matter which brand it is. The sooner, the better.
“Register now in your LGU and please… when you get your schedule, pls don’t walk away if it’s not the brand u were hoping for. Let’s not waste what is already of limited supply. We can do this, but we can only do it together. #Resbakuna,” ang paalala pa ng misis ni Drew.

Isa pa sa mga nadagdag sa listahan ng mga celebrities na nakatanggap ng first dose ng COVID-19 vaccine ay si Piolo Pascual.
Ibinalita niya ito sa pamamagitan ng kanyang Instagram Stories kahapon kalakip ang litrato niya na kuha sa isang vaccination center.
“1st jab done… then I died (joke),” aniya sa caption gamit ang hashtag #GoodCitizen.
Bukod kina Piolo, Iya at Drew ang iba pang mga celebrity na nabakunahan na ay sina Kris Aquino, Sharon Cuneta, Ogie Alcasid, Regine Velasquez, Aga Muhlach, Alice Dixson, Jolina Magdangal, Susan Roces at marami pang iba.
