My view kasi is, I have nothing against the schools that I came from.

“I studied in Xavier, so many good Xavier friends, so many great Xavier memories. I went to La Salle for college, also great memories. But then naisip ko, teka lang, ano nga ba ang natutunan ko?” pahayag ng TV host.

“Great memories with fellow classmates and whatnot but I feel that you don’t need to isolate yourself in school to learn. Parang learning is every day,” sabi pa ng host ng Kapuso travel show na “Biyahe Ni Drew.”

Pagsang-ayon naman ng kanyang asawa, “There are actually more effective ways of learning.”

“Feeling ko I wasted so much time learning stuff that I am not interested in. I kind of wasted a lot of time, I wasted my folks’ money because of that.

“I just feel that most schools, hindi siya personalized, ‘di ba? Parang one size fits all, aralin ninyo lahat ‘yan. If you fail in one, you’re not that smart, it shouldn’t be the case,” diin ng mister ni Iya.

Dugtong pa ng celebrity dad, “Our main goal is for the kids to learn as soon as possible what they want to do in life, what makes them happy.”

“One thing that kind of scares me about homeschool, which is why I feel I am more mixed emotions about it, I mean it’s something that I want for my kids, but sometimes I don’t know if I can commit.

“I don’t know if I can commit to being that parent that can sit down ’cause it’s still schooling but at home,” katwiran pa ng segment host ng “24 Oras.”

“Should one day Primo decide, ‘Mama I want to go to school.’ Okay then fine, basta what we want to achieve is we want our children to want to learn. Whatever it is that they want to learn; we want them to want to learn,” sabi ni Iya.

Kahit wala sa school, kahit walang curriculum, kahit walang libro, when you go outside and just meet people from different cultures. Talk to them, go to the farm, you’re constantly learning, getting pieces of information.”
