“If you want to make this a career, at the very least, without the help of Auto-Tune, ha — you have to sing well. This is regardless of the quality of your kind of singing that you do.
“Because you can be Regine (Velasquez), you can be Jaya, you can be Moira (dela Torre), you can be KZ (Tandingan), you can be Sarah (Geronimo), these are all different types of singers with different types of voices who bring something different to the industry, but they all sing well,” pahayag ni Lea sa Facebook Live interview ng Monster RX 93.1.
“That’s the thing. They all sing well. They’re all emotionally connected. You can feel the emotion when they sing.
“You have to be at least that, if you want to make this a career. You have to have the chops for this, have the goods. Make sure you have the goods,” sey pa ni Lea.
If it’s as a recreational activity, I’m not going to stop you. If it’s singing just to be expressive, if it’s just to be creative. By all means, do. Singing can be a very healing force.”
Last month, nag-celebrate si Lea ng kanyang 50th birthday at 43rd year sa showbiz industry.
