“Hindi, actually when I was younger mas wala akong kinakatakutan. Di ba ganu’n kapag bata ka, kasi feeling mo invincible ka, e.
“Alam mo iyon, when you’re younger, we all think we can do anything and everything, and you know, I was the same.
Patuloy pa niyang chika, “As you get older pala, you get insecure, you feel the insecurity na because, of course, you’re not the same anymore, and my voice is not the same as before.
“My body is not the same, my face, everything is not the same, so you feel now all the insecurities. And that’s normal. Siguro, sa akin lang is to accept what I have become now,” lahad pa niya.
“And, I mean, I worked so hard, more than thirty years I’ve been in this business so I should be a litte bit of, ma-proud naman ako sa sarili ko nang konti, alam mo iyon?
“You know after I gave birth I had such a hard time singing because you know, when you’re a woman, you go through changes, our body goes through changes, you know.
“We have hormones to deal with and that affects the voice, and emotionally also it affects us. And when you’re emotionally affected by all these things that are happening, kasama iyong boses mo.
“Maarte yung boses, e. But I have to just remember that it’s a muscle, it’s part of our body, it’s a muscle, that if you keep using it, then it will be okay, you know. Kasi the more you use it, the more you stretch it, mas nagiging powerful siya,” pahayag pa niya.
“And, of course, experience has a lot to do with it also, being able to be given the chance to actually perform onstage, iba yung experience, e, iba yung naibibigay sa iyo, iba yung naituturo ng experience sa iyo. And that’s it!
“Na-realize ko nga recently lang na all I have to do really is just keep singing. And now I’m not having such a hard time singing.
