Kuwento ni Garrett sa nakaraang interview sa kanya ng press, “This is like my debut of bringing out songs that are really created by myself so I really want to do this big time.
“If now po, I have proven na kaya ko rin palang gumawa ng mga kanta ko, gusto ko pa pong i-enhance ‘yung skill na ‘yun and eventually po makabuo ako ng album,” aniya pa.
Pahayag pa ng binata sa pagsulat ng mga kanta, “Writing my own song was indeed an adventure I took during the pandemic.
“I had the time to be alone and reflect on everything that is happening around me, emotions from my past experiences, and also experiences that my friends shared to me in the past years,” chika pa ni Garrett.
“As I was writing it, I felt the same feeling when I lost my father. I was really sad and longing and through the song, it felt as if I could turn back time, see him, and spend more time with him,” dagdag pa niya.
Patuloy pa niya, “Nakaka-relate ako nang sobra (sa kanta) kasi it’s a song that aids one’s longing for someone. It is from my heart and I dedicate it to everyone who is going through the same feeling of love.”
Garrett, who was one of the top 5 finalists of the first season of The Clash, is humbled by his experiences and feats he’s had so far in his music career as a Kapuso. He was named “New Male Recording Artist of the Year” at the 11th PMPC Star Awards for Music, “People’s Choice Award – Favorite New Male Artist” at the Awit Awards 2020, and “Outstanding Achiever in the Music Industry” at the Philippine Top Choice for Excellence last year.

Nakaka-proud.”
