Protect yourself. The decision is yours to make, either end the abusive relationship or try to save it.
“You may stay but the truth is that by staying and accepting repeated abuse, you’re reinforcing and enabling the behavior. Mauulit at mauulit lang ‘yan.
“If you can escape then go for it! Do it! Remember, you deserve to be treated with respect. You deserve a safe and happy life. Your children deserve a safe and happy life,” pahayag ng dalaga sa panayam ng GMA.
Dagdag pa ni Kris, “You are not alone. There are people waiting to help. Counseling, therapy, and support groups for domestic abuse survivors can help you process what you’ve been through and learn how to build new and healthy relationships.
“Most of all, don’t forget about self-care. Only when you take care of yourself can you best take care of the people you love,” sabi pa ni Kris.
My wish for Jerlyn is to take steps to heal and move on. Look at your journey as a lesson to grow, develop, and change. Forgive and forget the people who hurt you.
“This is only the start of everything. It’s time to try new things, meet new people, and focus your love and attention to your daughter. Imagine what’s ahead will be full of unexpected surprises, challenges, and excitement.
“Lastly, talk to God. Find comfort and peace in Him! Keep the faith and trust His plans!”
