SUKO na ang ilang taong tumutulong sa pagpapagamot sa veteran actor na si John Regala.
Itinigil na nina Nadia Montenegro, Chuckie Dreyfus at Aster Amoyo ang ginagawa nilang pag-aasikaso sa lahat ng medical needs ni John matapos itong magdesisyon na lumabas na ng ospital.
Naglabas ng joint statement ang tatlong kaibigan ni John kung saan inihayag nga nilang tapos na ang pagtulong nila sa pagpapagamot ng aktor.
Maituturing daw nilang isang “very uncooperative and difficult individual” ang magaling na kontrabida bukod pa sa inirereklamo nilang “terrible habit of constant and abusive self-medication” ng pasyente.
“Sadly, no amount of effort on our part can help a very uncooperative and difficult individual.
“In addition, John’s terrible habit of constant and abusive self-medication is something we cannot condone nor tolerate.
“And so, it is with deep sadness that our group has come to the decision to formally end our involvement in helping John with his medical treatment, care, and recovery.
“As much as this is our desire to see this through, these unfortunate circumstances and regretful turn of events have made it impossible for us to continue,” bahagi ng statement nina Nadia, Chuckie at Aster Amoyo.
Tumigil na rin daw ang crowdfunding campaign nila para sa aktor kaya, “Whoever will look after John for safekeeping, and shall be used for John’s treatment and future medical needs.
“A complete accounting of the donations as well as a breakdown of expenses will be given to John.
“John’s health problems are still far from over, and we can only hope and pray that he eventually listens to the advice of doctors and people who love and care for him,” sabi pa sa official statement.
Gusto pa sana ng grupo na manatili si John sa ospital para mas matutukan pa ng mga doktor ang kanyang liver cirrhosis, severe gout at diabetes, ngunit nagpumilit ang aktor na lumabas na.
Samantala, bago ito, nag-post din si Nadia sa Facebook ng mensahe tungkol kay John.
“I did my best! We all did! But as of this minute i am turning over everything and anything regarding my Brother John Regala to Nanay Aster A. Amoyo.
“Thank you to everyone who helped, donated and sent their love to John. I ask that you all please continue to pray for him. He needs that more than anything. I will always be here to help. But i can only do so much.
“My purpose in life is to give hope, give love and share my blessings. Sometimes i do too much but that falls on me. Never regretted a moment.
Why??? Because helping others brings me so much “joy” but for some reason…this brought me so much sadness. My heart is (heartbroken emoji) into many pieces.
