UMAPELA ang mga kongresista sa Kamara de Representantes na imbestigahan na ang brownout sa Iloilo na minsan ay tumatagal ng 13 oras.
Ayon kay PHILRECA Rep. Presley de Jesus dapat magsagawa ang imbestigasyon ang House committee on Energy upang matukoy ang problema at maibsan ang paghihirap ng mga residente.
“A 13-hour brownout is not acceptable, especially since we are in a crisis ngayon,” ani De Jesus. “There is a need for the House Energy Committee and the ERC to look into the power situation in Iloilo to ensure the reliability and stability of the power supply and distribution.”
Si Ako Bisaya Rep. Sonny Lagon ay naghain naman ng House Resolution 785 upang makapagsagawa ng imbestigasyon ang Kamara kaugnay ng estado ng power distribution sa Iloilo.
Dapat umanong mahanapan kaagad ng solusyon ang problema, ayon kay Abang Lingkod Rep. Stephen Paduano. “During this time of a pandemic, it is more highlighted that the leaders of this country, in all branches of government involved in this power crisis, and that includes Congress, must show the people of Iloilo our sense of urgency to settle this issue the soonest possible time.”
Nananawagan ang mga residente ng maayos na serbisyo mula sa MORE Power na binigyan ng legislative franchise ng Kongreso. Ang prangkisa ay dating hawak ng Panay Electric Company na hindi na ni-renew ng Kongreso ang prangkisa.
Isa umano sa dahilan ng mahabang pagkawala ng suplay ng kuryente ang mga preventive maintenance na ginagawa sa lugar. Pero marami rin umanong wala sa schedule ang brownout.
Nagrereklamo na rin maging ang mga konsehal ng City government dahil hindi umano maramdaman ang pangakong pagganda ng serbisyo.
