BATAY sa survey, nangunguna ang Pasig, Quezon City, Manila, Marikina at Valenzuela sa mga local government units sa National Capital Region (NCR) na mayroong pinakaepektibong pagtugon sa Covid-19 pandemic.
Nakakuha ang limang siyudad ng pinakamataas na approval ratings sa Metro Manila LGUs base sa NCR Mayor Covid-19 Performance Survey na isinagawa ng RP-Mission and Development Foundation Inc. (RPMDinc).
Batay sa survey, 86 porsyento ng mga residente ng Pasig ang aprub sa pamamaraan ng kanilang alkalde at city government sa paglaban sa epidemya.
Ang ikalawa sa may pinakamataas na job performance approval rating ay ang Quezon City (80 porsyento) na sinusundan ng Maynila (78 porsyento), Marikina (74 porsyento), at Valenzuela (72 porsyento).
Ang mga alkalde ng top-performing LGUs, na ang mga pangalan ay nakasama sa survey forms na sinagutan ng mga respondents, ay sina Vico Sotto (Pasig), Joy Belmonte (Quezon City), Isko Moreno Domagoso (Manila), Marcy Teodoro (Marikina), at Rex Gatchalian (Valenzuela).
“The survey was conducted with the intention to reassess the efforts done by the Local Government Units and its officials amidst the coronavirus pandemic. The public’s reactions towards the leadership, management of local chief executives. Assessment of the effectiveness of the following initiatives: security and public order; welfare of residents through relief goods, financial assistance and distribution; establishment of health protocols and security measures in the city; food security (hoarding prevention; supply of basic necessities & monitoring of prices); efficiency of the efforts being implemented,” ayon kay Dr. Paul Martinez ng RPMDinc.
Samantala, naitala ang lowest approval ratings sa mga lungsod ng Pasay (25 porsyento), Las Piñas (26 porsyento) at Malabon City (27 porsyento).
Ang independent at non-commissioned survey ay mayroong 3,000 respondents, na may edad 18-70, at isinagawa mula Hunyo 10-15.
