Publiko pinag-iingat sa bakuna ibinebenta online, itinuturok ng hindi doktor

NAGPAHAYAG ng pagkabahala si ACT-CIS Rep. Niña Taduran sa ilegal umanong bentahan ng mga bakuna online na ibinigay ng mga hindi doktor sa bahay-bahay.

Ayon kay Taduran nakalulungkot na mayroong mga nagsasamantala sa takot na nararanasan ng marami ngayon dahil sa coronavirus disease 2019.

“Vaccines should be dispensed only to doctors and must be properly handled, stored and transported because these are biological products. Hindi puwedeng basta ibenta sa kahit sino, kahit na nurse pa o midwife. At hindi rin sila puwedeng mag-home service at basta isaksak sa mga pasyente,” ani Taduran.

Ginawa ni Taduran ang pahayag matapos na maglabas ng advisory ang Philippine Pediatric Society’s (PPS) kaugnay ng “unethical sale” at paggamit ng mga bakuna na ginagawa umanong negosyo ng mga nurse, midwives at iba pang health workers.

“The Department of Health and the Food and Drug Administration should look into these reported illegal vaccinations and unregulated sale of vaccines online. This is very dangerous because we don’t even know if these vaccines are genuine. Those who sell online or directly to people who are not authorized or qualified to vaccinate should answer to the law,” saad ni Taduran.

Ayon sa PPS tanging mga doktor lamang ang lisensyado na magbakuna ng prescription drugs.

May mga pagkakataon umano na nurse at iba pang health workers ang pinagbabakuna subalit pinangangasiwaan ito ng doktor na siyang responsable sa kahihinatnan ng bakuna.

Sa ilalim ng Administrative Order 55 series of 1989 ng FDA o ang Guidelines on Advertisement and Promotions to Implement the Generics Act of 1988 ipinagbabawal ang pagbebenta o pag-advertise ng mga ethical drugs.
