Empleyado sa non-essential business tutulungan ng stimulus package

MALAKI umano ang maitutulong ng Accelerated Recovery and Investments Stimulus for the Economy of the Philippines (ARISE Philippines Act) sa mga manggagawa na non-essential business.

Ayon kay Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano makatutulong din ang panukala sa mga freelancers, umuwing OFWs at self-employed workers na hindi natulungan ng social amelioration programs at Small Business Wage Subsidy Program.

“We are fast-tracking the passage of this economic stimulus bill so we can immediately help our countrymen to recover from the financial and socio-economic impact of the pandemic,” ani Cayetano.

Sinabi ni Cayetano na maaaring maipasa sa ikatlo at huling pagbasa ang panukala bago ang adjournment ng sesyon sa Hunyo 5.

Ayon kay House Majority Leader Martin Romualdez makikinabang sa ARISE ang tinatayang 16 milyong manggagawa, lilikha ng 3 milyong short-term jobs ay makatutulong sa iba pang epekto ng coronavirus disease 2019.

“The approval of the economic stimulus package (ARISE) will ensure the availability of jobs and continuity of business for millions of Filipinos. A stimulus program that seeks to restore our economic growth, maintain employment levels and expand the country’s productive capacity,” ani Romualdez.

Nakasama rin sa panukala ang P20 bilyong pondo para sa mass testing program na gagamitin sa loob ng dalawang taon.

“We have to jumpstart our economic activities, while keeping our people healthy, the soonest time possible to ensure our survival as a nation,” ani Romualdez. “As we create more jobs and try to jumpstart our economy, we also need to work double time to ensure that health standards and protocols are geared towards protecting the vulnerable sectors of our society.”

Sa ilalim ng panukala ay may nakalaang P110 bilyon para sa wage subsidy ng mga empleyado, P25 bilyon para sa cash for work ng DoLE ngayong taon, P42 bilyong educational subsidy, at P50 bilyong para sa pautang sa mga Micro Small and Medium Enterprises.
