PINAGHAHANAP sa bansa ang pari na taga-Spain na inakusahang nang-abuso ng mga menor de edad sa kanilang bansa.
Kamakailan ay humingi ng tulong sa mga obispong Pilipino ang isang diplomat mula sa Vatican makaraan itong makatanggap ng impormasyon na nagtatago sa Pilipinas ang pari.
Ayon kay Archbishop Bernardito Auza, envoy ni Pope Francis sa Spain at Andorra, nawawala si Fr. José Maximiano Campos Ruiz at pinaniniwalaang nagtungo sa Pilipinas.
“There are reasons to worry [about] his presence in our country given the serious accusation against him,” ayon naman kay San Fernando, Pampanga Archbishop Florentino Lavarias.
Iginiit naman ni Archbishop Romulo Valles, Pangulo ng Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP), na hindi nila kukunsintihin ang mga pari gumagagawa ng kahalayan.
