Gatchalian tinawag na ‘anti-poor’ ang pagsuspende ng klase hanggang makahanap ng vaccine

TINAWAG na anti-poor ni Senator Sherwin Gatchalian ang mungkahing pagkansela ng klase pansamantala hangga’t hindi pa nakakahanap ng vaccine laban sa cornavirus disease.

Ani Gatchalian, mahuhuli umano ang mga public school students kumpara sa private schools.

Ipinunto ng Senador na afford ng mga mas mayamang estudyante na mag-enroll sa mga online classes na maaaring ioffer ng mga private o international schools habang nasa bahay lang ang mga mahihirap na estudyante at naghihintay.

Sa assessment ng Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, pinakamababa ang ranggo ng mga Pinoy sa reading comprehension at pangalawang pinakamababa sa second-lowest in mathematical and scientific literacy.

Pangamba ng Senador, baka hindi na makabawi ang ilang estudyante kapag pinatagal pa ang pagsuspinde ng klase hanggang makahanap ng vaccine.

Si Gatchalian ang chair ng basic education committee sa Senado.
