UMAASA si Bayan Muna Rep. Ferdinand Gaite sa hindi magkakaroon ng whitewash sa isinasagawang imbestigasyon sa birthday party ni National Capital Region Police Office chief Debold Sinas.
“We hope the PNP wouldn’t be bold enough to try whitewashing Debold again,” ani Gaite.
Dapat din umanong alamin kung pera ng taumbayan ang ginastos sa selebrasyon ng kaarawan ng opisyal.
Sinabi ng solon na si Sinas ang hepe ng PNP Central Visayas at chief implementor ng Oplan Sauron na nalinis sa isinagawang imbestigasyon kaugnay ng pagpatay sa 12 na magsasaka.
“We have seen this before, so we will be vigilant. The photos clearly show that there were violations of quarantine protocols regarding prohibition of mass gatherings, mandatory use of face masks, social distancing, among others, as it would be very hard for them to say otherwise,” saad ni Gaite.
Inutusan ni PNP chief Gen. Archie Gamboa ang Internal Affairs Service (IAS) na magsagawa ng imbestigasyon kaugnay ng paglabag umano sa quarantine protocol sa isinagawang mañanita para kay Sinas.
“Sinas who is a senior official and the center of the celebration could have told everyone to end the party right then and there simply out of delicadeza. But he evidently enjoyed the attention and cheered it on. There were also photos circulating showing that they were drinking alcohol while everyone is aware of the liquor ban. Sinas can try hard to dismiss the other photos, but those that were posted in Facebook by the PNP PIO already reveal a lot,” dagdag pa ng solon.
Sinabi ni Gaite na maganda ang naging paghingi ng paumanhin ni Sinas subalit hindi umano ito sapat dahil ang mga law enforcers kagaya niya ay inaasahan ng pagsunod sa batas.
“He should not be allowed to get away with his infraction again,” saad ni Gaite.
