Non-teaching load ng mga guro bawasan, dapat pagtuturo lang ang atupagin

SA ipatutupad na new normal sa mga pampublikong paaralan, dapat ay alisin umano ang mga administrative works sa mga guro upang maituon lamang ng mga ito ang kanilang oras sa pagtuturo.

Ayon kay ACT-CIS Rep. Jocelyn Tulfo dapat din alisin sa mga pampublikong guro ang mga health-related works at and social welfare responsibilities.

“They are teachers. They are not nurses, social workers, nor administrative staff,” ani Tulfo sa isang press statement.

“Tinatambakan ang teachers ng mga trabahong hindi pang-teacher. Trabaho ng teacher ang mag-lecture, maghanda sa pamamagitan ng paggawa ng lesson plan, at i-evaluate ang kanyang trabaho sa pamamagitan ng pagsusumite ng monitoring and evaluation reports.”

Dahil Agosto na magsisimula ang klase dapat din umanong paikliin ang sembreak at non-academic extra curricular events na mga guro rin ang gumagawa kaya nababawasan ang oras ng kanilang pagtuturo.

“Nababawasan ang contact time sa mga estudyante dahil sa maraming aktibidad na dagdag-trabaho sa mga guro,” saad ng lady solon. “Devote August to March to classroom contact time activities. Cut down on extra-curricular activities like commemorations and observances, so that contact time in classrooms is maximized.”

Dapat din umanong ilimita ang mga meeting na nag-aalis sa guro sa loob ng silid-aralan.

“For students who lack access to means of remote or online learning, DepEd should provide equivalent take home activities in the form of worksheets or reading materials for which they can be guided by their parents in accomplishing,” saad pa ng lady solon.
