Tulong pinansyal sa empleyadong apektado ng ECQ ituloy- TUCP

NANAWAGAN ang Trade Union Congress of the Philippines sa gobyerno na dagdagan ang pondo na ipinamimigay sa mga empleyado na apektado sa ipinatutupad na Enhanced Community Quarantine.

Ayon sa TUCP maraming empleyado ang natuwa sa mabilis na pamimigay ng ayuda sa ilalim ng COVID-19 Adjustment Measure Program (CAMP) ng Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) pero hindi na ito muling nilagyan ng pondo para mas marami ang matulungan.

“If it is true that the funds of DOLE for CAMP have already been depleted, topping that off with additional funds would be simpler and more logical to continue the subsidy for workers for after all, the MSMEs’ (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) employees are the priority under CAMP,” ani TUCP Rep. Raymond Mendoza.

Sinabi ni Mendoza na mas mabuti umano kung itutuloy ang CAMP at deretsong ibibigay sa empleyado ang pera sa halip na idaan pa ito sa kanilang mga kompanya sa ilalim ng Small Business Wage Subsidy Program (SBWSP).

“Why replace DOLE CAMP with a new program? All that is urgently needed now is for the government to immediately put money in the hands of as many workers as possible as sustenance support and to jumpstart consumer spending. The urgency is real and to just trigger a flurry of new applications after applications and processing this will be very problematic and might be destabilizing,” dagdag pa ni Mendoza.

Ayon kay Mendoza masyadong komplikado ang SBWSP kaya hindi magiging mabilis ang pagtulong sa mga nangangailangang empleyado.

Itinigil na ng DOLE ang pagtanggap ng aplikasyon sa CAMP noong Abril 16 at sinabi na hindi nila mabibigyan ng tulong ang lahat ng mahigit 1 milyong aplikante dahil sa kakulangan ng pondo.
