INIHAYAG ni Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque na nagdesisyon si Pangulong Duterte na panatiliin sa kanyang pwesto si Health Secretary Francisco Duque III sa kabila naman ng panawagan ng 15 senador na magbitiw siya sa kanyang katungkulan.
“Yes. The President has made a decision for Health Secretary Duque to stay put. He also expressed his appreciaion for senators’s gesture in giving him the opportunity to weigh his option on the performance of the Secretary of Health,” sabi ni Roque.
Nauna nang naglabas ng resolusyon ang mga senador na humihiling sa pagbibitiw ni Duque.
“Secretary Duque was made aware of the sentiments of the senators and the President expects him to work even harder to set aside any doubts on his capacity and sincerity to serve the public during these difficult times,” ayon pa kay Roque.
