NAGPAALAALA ang Department of Social Welfare and Development na kinakailangan ng solicitation permit mula sa ahensya bago magsimulang manghingi ng donasyon para sa mga taong gustong tumulong sa gitna ng coronavirus pandemic.
“It has come to our attention that amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, various persons and organizations are allegedly conducting unauthorized public solicitation activities.”
Ayon sa DSWD, sa ilalim ng Presidential Decree 1564 o Solicitation Permit Law, minandato ang DSDW na mag-regulate ng mga panonolisit at pagtanggap ng donasyon o kontribusyon para sa mga ‘charitable or public welfare purposes.
“Hence, no person or organization shall conduct any form of solicitation in the country without first securing permit from DSWD.” hayag dito.
Anila, kinakailangan mag-aplay para sa solicitation permit sa pinakamalapit na DSWD office.
“The DSWD reiterates that all entities must apply for a solicitation permit with the nearest DSWD office, which has jurisdiction over the area where one wishes to conduct solicitation activity.”
Dahil sa enhanced community quarantine, inabisuhan ng DSWD na mag-apply online ang mga nais kumuha ng permit.
