DAPAT umanong ilabas at i-donate ng Bureau of Customs ang mga kinumpiska at inabandonang shipment ng bigas at iba pang pagkain ayon kay presidential son at Davao City Rep. Paolo Duterte.
Ayon kay Duterte mayroon siyang nabalitaan na 100-300 container van ng bigas at 100-300 container van ng dried fish na maaaring kumpiskahin ng BoC at ibigay sa Department of Social Welfare and Development.
“We will have these turned over to DSWD. But we urge them to ease the process so we can distribute these to families as soon as possible. We know that there is a process but this should be treated with urgency. We need to feed the people and these could help,” ani Duterte.
Sa ganitong paraan, sinabi ni Duterte, mababawasan ang nakatambak na container vans sa pantalan para makapasok ang mga bagong shipment ng medical supplies at mabibigyan ng pagkain ang mga nangangailangang pamilya.
“We’ll closely monitor the entire process of release and turn-over to DSWD. So if there are more seized and abandoned shipments with items that could benefit the people, I appeal to the BoC to have it donated and delivered.”
Nauna rito, sinabihan ni Duterte sa BoC-Davao na i-donate ang walong 40-foot container van ng mga medical equipment na inabandona ng may-ari sa Southern Philippines Medical Center upang makatulong sa kakayanan ng ospital sa paglaban ng coronavirus disease 2019.
