MAS magiging epektibo umano ang kampanya ng gobyerno laban sa coronavirus disease 2019 kung papangalanan ang mga taong nahawa nito.
Sumulat si Davao del Norte Rep. Alan Dujali sa Inter Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Disease at umapela na ipatupad ang Mandatory reporting of Notifiable Diseases and Health Events of Public Health Concern (RA 111332).
“While I believe that the quarantine measures has, so far, been effective in addressing our current public health concern, it is my humble recommendation that we further strengthen it by implementing strategies aimed at informing the public on regular basis of the identities of the persons who have already been tested positive for the virus, as well as of those who have a probable chance of having contracted it,” ani Dujali sa isang pahayag.
Ang pagpangalan umano sa mga nahawahan at posibleng nahawahan ay isang epektibong deterrent upang hindi lumabag sa quarantine ang mga ito at isang pagsunod sa RA 11332 na mayroong exemption sa Data Privacy Law (RA 10173).
“As we have seen in the media, there are many different personalities who have been tested positive with the virus, and yet have voluntarily publicly disclosed such fact,” saad ng solon.
Kung paniniwalaan ang istatistika, sinabi ni Dujali na ang sukdulan ng COVID-19 ay maitatala sa kalagitnaan ng Abril o sa pagtatapos ng Enhanced Community Quarantine.
“If we go further by allowing our government to publicly disclose the identities of persons infected with the virus, the PUIs and PUMs, I believe we can make a more positive impact towards effectively slowing down the spread of the virus.”
