2019 showbiz shockers: 3 sisters and a funeral; teacher’s enemy si Tulfo; Vice-Ion love wins

CLAUDINE, MARJORIE AT GRETCHEN BARRETTO

AS the year 2019 is about to close, we gather the celebrity newsmakers who turned the year upside down as they wittingly or unwittingly figure in controversies.

THREE SISTERS AND A FUNERAL: Easily, the war of the roses between the Barretto sisters – Gretchen, Marjorie and Claudine – is the biggest newsmaker to hit tinseltown.

With President Rodrigo Duterte in attendance, naging maingay ang mga eksena sa burol ng ama ng mga Barretto. May eksena raw na sigawan, sampalan, sabunutan which will make soap operas pale in comparison.
The real-life drama led to the Barretto sisters trading barbs in interviews and on social media. Walang gustong magpatalo, walang gustong magpaawat.

Nadamay pa ang lesser-known Barretto and her relationship with a popular businessman, Atong Ang. As the drama unfolded, Gretchen’s seemingly romantic photo with Atong while inside a plane surfaced. The two issued denials.

TEACHERS’ ACT: Public school teachers were up in arms not once but twice.

Una, when Cong. Alfred Vargas filed a bill which seeks to ban elementary and high school teachers from giving assignments kapag weekend.

For that, Cong. Alfred was bashed left and right kaya naman todo depensa siya. In an interview, he said it was an honest mistake and that there should be no penal component dahil hindi naman ito criminal law.

And then came Raffy Tulfo’s recommendation sa isang teacher na i-give up ang kanyang lisensiya bulang guro or face a possible child abuse case.

KRIS CRUMBLES: Kris Something feigned her bravery when she “settled all financial issues and amicably worked out all personal differences with Mr. Nicardo M. Falcis II and Atty. Jesus Nicardo M. Facis III.”

Following the statement, agad-agad na nag-post si Kris ng message which read: “LEARN from YESTERDAY… LIKE TODAY… but above all, make sure to LOVE TOMORROW.”

“To permanently leave this chapter behind, and embrace all that lies ahead for me, comments for this post shall be turned off. You are FREE to discuss the statement from DivinaLaw, just not on my feed,” dagdag niya.

Kris filed qualified theft against Nicko and cyber libel against Jesus.

But the Falcis brothers are defiant at hindi sila umatras sa laban sa korte.

GARCIA MUST APPEAL: Just recently, the Department of Labor and Employment-National Capital Region (DOLE-NCR) slapped a fine of P890,000 against GMA Network and other companies kaugnay ng accident na ikinasawi ng veteran actor na si Eddie Garcia.

As reported by a website, “DOLE order: “GMA failed to consider the age of Mr. Eddie Garcia and ensure the safety of the shooting location.

“GMA even failed to provide or assign competent safety officers and first aiders at the shooting location.

“As such, we find that GMA violated Section 14 of D.O. No. 198 for its failure to deploy or designate safety officers and first aiders at the workplace. On the employment or designation of a certified first aider pursuant to Section 15 of D.O. No. 198, we also find GMA liable.”

BJ NG PAG-IBIG: Bea Alonzo had her followers alarmed nang mag-share siya ng dalawang quotes on her Instagram account.

“Something I learned about people… If they do it once, they’ll do it again.”

“God never wastes a hurt.”

In her third installment, she posted a black photo with this very intriguing caption, “You can’t make the same mistake twice, the second time you make it, it’s not a mistake anymore, it’s a choice. ENOUGH.”

Nag-one-plus-one ang netizens and their theory is that si Gerald Anderson ang pinatatamaan ni Bea. Although Bea did not name kung sino ang third party sa breakup nila, it turned out later na nasangkot ang Between Maybes leading lady ni Gerald na si Julia Barretto.

A lot, of course, sided with Bea and the issue painted a bad picture of Gerald and Julia.

LOVE WINS: Vice Ganda finally admitted his romance with Miss Q & A’s Kuya Escort Ion Perez.

In a culminating 10th anniversary presentation for It’s Showtime’s “Magpasikat” segment, Vice capped his performance with an admission – that he and Ion are really an item.

“At itong puntong ito, ang sarap-sarap sa pakiramdam na naramdaman kong hindi ako nag-iisa. Kasi, for so many years, for so many times in the past, I felt I was all alone.

“At itong pangsampung taon ng Showtime, ang suwerte ko kasi hindi na ako nag-iisa. Meron na akong katuwang sa buhay.”

That was Vice Ganda’s admission. Then he called Ion who planted a kiss on his cheek.
