Barretto sisters may mas matinding pasabog pagkatapos ng 40 days ni Daddy Mike

“UNBELIEVABLE!” Punctuated with an exclamation point deli-vered with utmost intensity, matatandaang ito ang naibulalas ni Claudine Barretto sa wake ng kaniang ama sa inasal ng nakatatandang kapatid na si Marjorie.

Without the non-Netflix subscribers knowing it, ang “Unbelie-vable” ay pamagat din pala ng isang eight-episode series tungkol sa isang batang babae na naiulat na ginahasa ng isang ‘di kilalang intruder na dumaranas ng sari-sa-ring emosyon sa kamay ng mga nag-aalinlangang awtordidad.

Of course, we see no striking analogy that connects Claudine to the series.

But figuratively though, Claudine—kung paniniwalaan ang kanyang version—was stripped naked of her right to prove she’s the good daughter to her parents, hindi ang mapagpanggap na si Marjorie who claims otherwise.

The intruder—make it plural—is actually us, the public na siyang dahilan kung bakit sumasailalim si Claudine sa samu’t sa-ring emosyon.

Hate toward Marjorie. Compassion toward her family na nagkagulu-gulo na. Pagkampi sa kanyang Ate Gretchen who she considers as the contravida-turned-vida towards the end of their real-life drama.

We resemble the authorities ourselves tulad ng sa Netflix series.

We bombard Claudine and her family with an endless barrage of questions, na kung tutuusi’y unbelievable sa isang pamilyang mukha namang maayos na nabuo sa umpisa pero nawasak sa bandang huli.

Habang sinusulat namin ang kolum na ito, there strangely exists a truce sa pagitan ng mga Barretto sisters. But wait till their dad’s (Miguel Barretto) 40th day as a full-blown war is about to break out in catastrophic proportions.

Unbelievably believable.
