“Domestic affairs when cast in very negative light through all forms of media coverage tend to erode the foundations of family and marriage which even the media should help to strengthen,” ani Marcoleta.
“These news and interviews on the private life of each of the siblings and their kin undermine the sacred provisions of the Constitution on family and marriage as foundations of our social institutions.”
“Truth is, news outlets should find it unflattering to be sensationalizing whatever apparent family feud these sisters were into as this constitutes an affront to two fundamental institutions, namely, family and marriage.”
“Given the media’s ‘Journalist’s Code of Ethics, if such indeed exists, the Barretto sisters should have been left on their own instead of undue media hype. Let us leave them alone as we keep the family and marriage revered and held in great respect at all times,” dagdag pa ng solon.
