Have you tried ‘honeymoon’ leave?

DUMARAMI ang mga workplaces and business establishments na nagbibigay ngayon ng “honeymoon” leave sa kanilang mga empleyado to encourage productivity and loyalty to the company.

Ang karamihan sa konsepto ng honeymoon leave ay hindi lamang applicable sa mga bagong kasal na employees. Applicable din ito sa mga employees na kung saan ang kanilang mga spouses ay overseas Filipino workers.

Ang karaniwang version ng honeymoon leave ay dalawa hanggang tatlong araw na paid honeymoon leave sa bawat taon sa mga employee who are legally married to OFW spouse.

According to the Human Resource director na nagpatupad nito, honeymoon leave is to allow the employee to foster quality time between the OFW husband or wife along with the children. Most of those who avail the benefit took the occasion for the entire family to travel and visit relatives in the provinces and to make up for lost time.

Obviously, however, only legally married employee can apply for the benefit.

But according to the HR person, honeymoon leave is one creative way to achieve loyalty, and for the company to provide space for the employees and their OFW spouses to ensure their family is intact.

Madalas na naapektuhan daw kasi ang morale ng kanilang empleyado sa pagtatrabaho kapag may problema sa asawa o pamilya, apektado ang productivity.

A broken family affects workers’ ability and skills to perform his or her job. He or she is never be the same, sabi niya.

Iba daw talaga ang aura o happiness ng mga empleyado matapos mag-honeymoon leave.
