ARWIND SANTOS, KOBE PARAS AT JACKIE FORSTER
Na-bash nang todo ang PBA player na si Arwind Santos dahil sa controversial “monkey gesture” niya kay TNT import Terrence Jones sa nakaraang Comissioner’s Cup Finals.
Kabilang sa mga matatapang na nag-comment laban kay Arwind ay ang mag-inang Jackie Forster at Kobe Paras.
Ayo kay Jackie, “ignorant” at dapat pagsasampalin ang San Miguel Beermen veteran dahil sa pambabastos nito kay Terrence na isang African-American.
“Please use your money to go travel the world so you learn to undo all the damage you have inside your heart. If you also knew how much racism Filipinos face in all corners of the world you would have more empathy and understanding… WE TOO ARE BROWN!” ani Jackie.
Nu’ng una kasi ay ayaw pang mag-sorry ni Arwind kay Terrence pero napilitan din itong humingi ng tawad matapos patawan ng parusa ng PBA.
Ani Arwind, “Inaamin ko po mali po ako, sorry po, sana po mapatawad niyo po ako. Tao lang po ako, nagkakamali lang din po ako.”
Comment naman ni Kobe sa post ng dating asawa ni Benjie Paras na isa ring former PBA superstar, “Not everyone is educated mama…That’s the sad reality of this world and especially our country. I’m so lucky and damn blessed I was raised by African Americans in LA.”
Community service, equality counselling at multang P200,000 ang ipinataw na mga parusa ng pamunuan ng PBA laban kay Arwind.
