Sa isang briefing, idinagdag ni Presidential Spokesperson at Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Salvador Panelo na hindi nakakatawa ang nangyaring insidente.
“Well, there are rules and regulations in that place. So everyone is expected – whether foreigner or Filipinos alike… tourist, whatever – they have to follow rules and that obviously is a violation, so they will be subject to administrative or rather suits,” sabi ni Panelo.
Ito’y matapos mag-viral ang isang video kung saan makikitang hinuhugusan pa ng isang nanay Chinese ang anak sa dagat matapos dumumi, samantalang nagbaon pa ng diaper ang isa sa puting buhanginan ng isla.
“It’s a violation. We will not—siyempre we are not happy about that. Hindi naman maganda rin iyon, kasi we’re supposed to be cleaning it up pagkatapos some people are messing it up ‘di ba? Hindi maganda!” ayon pa kay Panelo.
Matatandaang isinara ng anim na buwan ang Boracay para isailalim sa rehabilitasyon.
“It’s offensive to the sight. It’s not a good scene,” dagdag pa ni Panelo.
