Former ABS-CBN reporter, driver patay sa ambush sa Cotabato City

COTABATO CITY- Isang dating reporter ng ABS-CBN at driver ng habal-habal ang nasawi matapos silang pagbabarilin ng mga hindi nakikilalang kalalakihan sa Barangay Rosary Heights 4 Miyerkules ng gabi.

Kinilala ang mga nasawi na sina Archad Ayao, 28, residente ng Teksing, Old Market arear, Barangay Poblacion 6,  empleyado ng Bangsamoro Regional Human Rights Commission (BRHRC) at dating reporter ng ABS-CBN.  Patay rin ang habal-habal driver na si Pio Orteza, 42, ng Purok Dimasiray, Rosary Heights 4.

Ayon sa pulisya, sakay si Ayao sa motorsiklo na minamaneho ni Orteza nang barilin sa ulo sa Don Ramon Rabago Avenue, Cotabato City alas-6:10 ng gabi.

Naganap ang ambush may 50 metro lamang ang layo mula sa Police Station 2  sa panulukan ng Sinsuat at Ramon Rabago Avenues.

Parehong nagtamo ng tama ng bala sa ulo ang mga biktima at hindi na umabot nang buhay sa ospital.

Ikinagulat naman ni Laisa Alamia, former executive secretary ng  Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM), ang pagkamatay ni Ayao na nakatrabaho niya noon.

Inilarawan niya si Ayao bilang  “committed human rights and social worker, an emergency responder, a trainor, facilitator. Young, witty, so full of life. Kind, efficient, hardworking. His life has been snuffed out earlier tonight.”
