Derek: Dapat talaga lumaban na ang Pinas sa Hollywood
MAINIT pa ring pinag-uusapan ngayon sa social media kung paano maisasalba ang Filipino movie industry. May mga nag-suggest na dapat nang i-regulate ang foreign films sa bansa para mas mabigyan ng chance ang Pinoy movies sa mga sinehan.
Sa interview ng GMA sa Kapuso leading man na si Derek Ramsay, natanong siya kung ano ang kanyang reaksyon sa proposal na limitahan ang pagpapalabas ng international or Hollywood movies sa Pilipinas.
“Ako kasi proud akong Filipino. If the Americans or international movies can produce movies like that, I think Filipinos can do it as well. But parang pinipilit mo na lang ‘yung tao na manonood, ‘di ba. Ako ayoko nu’n. Again I like to take risks, hindi yabang. But I want to go up against the competition, competition is great!”
“Why? Mapipilitan tayo to come up with better stuff and new stuff. We have to take risks. We have to bring something new.
“I think we just have to come up with better quality films and the viewers would go out to watch it,” sabi pa ni Derek na mapapasabak uli sa pagbibilad ng katawan kasama si Andrea Torres sa upcoming Kapuso series na The Better Woman.
