BINANSAGAN nang “Pambansang Kabit” ang Kapuso actress na si Sophie Albert.
E, kasi nga, mukhang nata-typecast siya sa mga kabit or other woman role mula nang lumipat siya sa bakuran ng GMA 7.
Pagkatapos nga ng kanyang hindi malilimutan at markadong role bilang si Amber, ang kabit ng karakter ni Rocco Nacino sa GMA Telebabad series na Pamilya Roces, isa na namang “escabeche” (read: kabit) role ang gagampanan niya sa pinakabagong afternoon series ng Kapuso Network na Bihag.
Gaganap siya rito bilang si Reign, ang wawasak sa pagsasama ng mag-asawang sina Jessie at Brylle na gagampanan naman nina Max Collins at Jason Abalos.
Ayon kay Sophie, mas challenging ang karakter niya bilang Reign sa Bihag kesa kay Amber ng Pamilya Roces, “It’s very very different kahit on paper they kinda look similar.
“Execution-wise, super different ang character ni Amber from Reign. Reign is more serious kasi inaakit ko si Jason eh. It’s a more serious character,” kuwento ng aktres sa nakaraang presscon ng Bihag.
“The sexiness of Reign’s character is a little bit different and a little bit more challenging for me because with Amber, playful eh. Medyo ‘yung pa-sexy niya is more cutey. Reign is more challenging for me because nga you have to be more seductive and its a little hard,” dagdag pa ni Sophie.
Inamin din ng dalaga na nu’ng unang i-offer sa kanya ang role ni Reign ay nagdalawang-isip pa siya, “In the beginning, I thought it might the same. But when I read the script, it’s totally different. With Amber, she’s medyo on the dumb side. Here naman with Reign, she’s intelligent. She’s always one step ahead of everyone.”
Wala naman siyang issue kung ma-typecast siya sa mga kabit role, “That’s what the viewers like eh, mga kabit. Ako, I’m very excited about this show, about this role and everything that I’ll learn from this show. I’m really excited.”
Mapapanood na ang Bihag simula sa Lunes, April 1 sa GMA Afternoon Prime kapalit ng My Special Tatay.
