PINARANGALAN ng LGBTQ community ang Kapuso actress na si Heart Evangelista dahil sa pakikipaglaban nito para sa karapatan ng mga miyembro nito.
Isa si Heart sa tumanggap ng Equality Champion Award bilang advocate “for the passage of the Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity and Expression (SOGIE) Equality Bill in the Senate.”
Sa kanyang Instagram account, nag-promise ang misis ni Sen. Chiz Escudero na gagamitin niya ang kanyang powers para ipaglaban ang rights ng LGBTQ community.
Aniya, “Filipinos have always been known to be a people of love, and I believe that love is one that is never discriminatory; it is a love that is inclusive to all, regardless of age and sexual orientation. Thank you for giving me the Equality Champion Award.
“I will continue to create awareness for the rigIhts of the LGBTQIA+ community, and will encourage everybody to do the same. Let’s all join forces to create a Philippines that is diverse, accepting, and full of love,” aniya pa.
