Albayalde itinanggi ang alegasyon ng ‘palit-puri’

ITINANGGI ni Philippine National Police chief Director General Oscar Albayalde na talamak ang umano’y “palit-puri” sa PNP matapos ang gera kontra droga ng administrasyon.

“There are probably sexual advancements, pero sa sinasabi nilang rampant I think that’s too harsh to say. If you say that, that’s totally unfair to the Philippine National Police,” sabi ni Albayalde.

Ito’ matapos ang pahayag ng Coalition Against Trafficking in Women – Asia Pacific (CATW-AP) na napipilitan ang mga babaeng nahaharap sa kasong droga na ialok ang sarili sa takot na sila ay mapatay.

Inilabas ng CATW-AP ang alegasyon matapos maaresto si PO1 Eduardo Valencia dahil sa panggagahasa sa 15-anyos kapalit ng kalayaan ng kanyang mga magulang na nahaharap sa kasong droga.

Iginiit ni Albayalde na “very isolated case,” ang kaso ni Valencia.

Idinagdag ni Albayalde na wala siyang natatanggap na kaparehong ulat mula sa director ng National Capital Region Police Office.

“Please lang, this single act does not reflect the general behavior and discipline that we have in the Philippine National Police. Wag naman nating sabihin na generalized,” dagdag ni Albayalde.

“We will never tolerate this in our ranks. We want to assure the public about that,” giit ni Albayalde.
