MAY matatanggap na P3,000 anniversary bonus ang mga kawani ng Department of Education sa Disyembre.
Ayon kay Usec. for Finance – Budget and Performance Monitoring Annalyn Sevilla pinaplantsa na ang guidelines para sa pagpapalabas ng pondo alinsunod sa Implementing Guidelines on the Release and Use of Funds for Fiscal Year 2018 (DepEd Order No. 16, s. 2018).
“We’re already working on it, and preparing for it. Before December, we’ll make sure that it is already downloaded and available on or before DepEd’s anniversary,” ani Sevilla.
Alinsunod sa rekomendasyon ng National Historical Commission of the Philippines, itinatag ang DepEd noong Disyembre 20, 1863. Ang tawag dito noon ay Comision Superior de Instruccion Primaria.
Gumagawa rin ng hakbang ang DepEd upang maitaas ang chalk allowance ng mga guro sa pampublikong paaralan at nakikipag-ugnayan sa Department of Budget and Management at Civil Service Commission upang magkaroon ng alokasyon sa mga non-teaching positions na makababawas sa mga ginagawa ng mga guro.
