LUMIPAD pa-Singapore si dating Sen. Jinggoy Estrada kahapon upang samahan ang kanyang ina na si dating Sen. Loi Ejercito na magpasuri.
Pinayagan ng Sandiganbayan Fifth Division ang nakababatang Estrada na umalis ng bansa mula Oktobre 1-8.
“For the reason stated therein and considering that the right to travel is a constitutional right which cannot be impaired except in cases provided for by law, and that accused-movant Estrada has been previously granted travel abroad, the instant motion is granted,” saad ng korte.
Hindi na kinuha ni Estrada ang P2.66 milyong travel bond na ginamit nito sa kanyang mga naunang biyahe kaya ito na ang nagsilbing travel bond sa biyaheng ito.
Ang ina ni Estrada ay magpapatingin sa Singapore Brain-Spine Nerves Center sa Mount Elizabeth Hospital. Siya ay mayroon umanong “severe compression deformity of the lumbar spine with vertebral body collapse.”
Nahaharap si Estrada sa kasong plunder at graft kaugnay ng P183.79 milyong pork barrel fund scam.
