SINABI ni Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III na nagbanta si Pangulong Duterte na magwo-walkout sa sariling State of the Nation Address (SONA) noong Lunes sa kasagsagan naman ng gulo sa Kamara.
“I sensed displeasure with the President when that was happening. As soon as he arrived, he already uttered words that I don’t want to divulge. He was displeased with what’s happening. That is what I gathered from him,” sabi ni Sotto sa isang panayam sa Senado.
Ito’y matapos namang mabalam ng mahigit isang oras ang SONA ni Duterte matapos ang kudeta laban kay dating Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez.
“He gave a threat to that effect. Magwo-walk out na lang ako pag hindi nila inayos yan. Something to that effect,” dagdag ni Sotto.
Ayon kay Sotto, pinaalalahanan lamang ni House Majority Leader Rodolfo Fariñas si Duterte na katungkulan niya ang pagdaraos ng SONA.
“Ang sagot ko sana e pag nag walk out kayo, susunod na yung Senate contingent,” ayon pa kay Sotto.
