“Filipino workers are actually slaves, they are without tenure and given alms at amounts obviously could not support a family, hence, the call for a P750-national minimum wage is a social justice and democratic measure,” ani Casilao.

“Automatically with the spike of fuel products, basic goods and service follow suit. While the cost of living rises, no corresponding wage hike is realized, which makes the Filipino workers being sandwiched to having with low purchase power and impoverished state.”

“Higher and national levels of minimum wage will benefit not just the Filipino workers but the whole population, as the social wealth will be brought back to the national economy and industry, spurring national development.”
