Booking cancellation ng grab gagawing krimen
PINAG-AARALAN ng House committee on transportation na gawing criminal act ang booking cancellation na ginagawa ng mga driver ng Transport Network Vehicle Services gaya ng Grab Philippines.
Ayon sa vice chairman ng komite na si Samar Rep. Edgar Mary Sarmiento muling magsasagawa ng pagdinig ang Kamara de Representantes sa pagbubukas ng sesyon sa Mayo 15.
“We are considering that (making the act of refusing to transport the passengers). At the end of the day, this will help instill discipline,” ani Sarmiento. “Rest assured that we are going to work on this to protect the riding public.”
Sinabi ni House Deputy Speaker Raneo Abu na ang kapakanan ng mga pasahero ang babantayan sa gagawing batas ng Kamara at ito rin ang trabaho ng Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board.
“I strongly urge the LTFRB to ensure that the rights of the riding public are protected and that the rules regulating the TNVs are strictly and clearly implemented,” ani Abu.
Dahil sa dami ng sumasakay sa TNVS mahalaga umano na masiguro na hindi aabuso ang mga driver.
“Let us work double time to ensure that they (public) are not shortchanged as they go to their daily grind of commuting to work, school and going back to their homes,” dagdag pa ni Abu.
Ayon naman kay Surigao del Norte Rep. Ace Barbers dapat kasuhan ang mga driver na aabuso sa karapatan ng mga pasahero.
