Sofia Romualdez natatakot umakting: Magwo-workshop muna po ako!

KITANG-KITA ang kaligayahan at pagiging proud ng mag-asawang Alfred Romualdez at Tacloban Mayor Cristina Gonzalez sa kanilang anak na si Sofia during the launch of her second single (na siya rin ang sumulat), ang “Thinkin’ Of U” under Viva Records.

“I’m so happy, like I’m so excited. I’m finally doing the kind of music that I want to do. It feels good,” sabi ni Sofia.

May fear factor para kay Sofia ang mag-perform in front of the media lalo pa’t first time lang niyang ma-experience ang ganitong event.

“Honestly, I practiced so many times because I was so scared. But like one time on stage it’s just, wala lang. But it feels ama-zing. I’m so grateful for this,” ngiti niya.

Siyempre, umaapaw ang suporta ng kanyang mga magulang on her chosen career pati na sa pagbibigay sa kanya ng mga payo.

“They always tell me to stay humble and always work hard because the only way you can achieve anything is that you work for it. You can’t just be like, ‘Ohhh.’ You always have to work for it and you always have to be, do your best,” lahad niya.

“He‘s one of my influences also, I want to be like him. I want to produce my own songs and I want to have my own recording studio also. I’m starting to learn how to produce an album,” aniya pa.

For now, no acting daw muna for Sofia, “Honestly, I actually wanna act. It looks fun but I feel like hindi pa ako ready. Maybe I’ll do workshops, coz’ you know you have to work hard to get it. I actually, want to work on it,” pag-amin niya.

Lastly, inilarawan naman si Sofia ni former Tacloban Mayor Alfred what he saw on her daughter after the trauma she suffered during the tragic Yolanda typhoon.

“Sofia fought for her life for two hours. So, we were very fortunate. Not many families in Tacloban are as fortunate as we were but more so is, we are concerned about her coping with that. The trauma with that experience and that’s why I really pushed music for her in order to cope with the trauma and make that experience a lesson.

“A lesson that will make her stronger in life later on. So, I just wanted to share you that to show that story with you. So that you will see the courage and the resilience of our daughter,” pahayag ni Alfred.
