Anna Luna nominadong best actress sa Philadelphia Independent Film Awards

MULING nakakuha ng Best Actress nomination ang award-winning independent actress at 2018 Star Magic Cirlce na si Anna Luna para sa pelikulang “Maestra” mula sa 2018 Philadelphia Independent Film Awards (PIFA).
Anna’s affecting portrayal of Licensure Exam for Teachers topnotcher Iah Seraspi in the Lem Lorca independent film got her the Best Actress nomination.
“Na-shock siyempre. Tina-try talaga nilang iikot ang movie kung saan may mga festivals,” sabi ni Anna. Dagdag pa ng dalaga, “Hindi ko naman siya iniisip na sobra pero siyempre masaya po dahil napansin ulit ang mga Pinoy.”
The said nomination is Anna’s second nod for the said film, which debuted in 2017 at the Cinemalaya Film Festival. Her first recognition came last year at the 2017 Five Continents International Film Festival in Venezuela, where she brought pride to the country by bringing home the Best Lead Actress trophy.
Bago ito, nanalo na rin ang aktres bilang Best Supporting Actress sa 2015 ASEAN International Film Festival & Awards (AIFFA) sa Malaysia para sa pelikulang “Bendor.”
“Feeling ko ang makikita dito ay kung paano magpursige ang isang tao talaga na walang kahit anong balakid ang makakapigil sayo, dahil kung ano man ang gusto mong gawin sa buhay magagawa mo,” sagot ni Anna nang matanong kung bakit mabenta ang “Maestra” sa international scene.
Napapanood si Anna sa Kapamilya Gold series na Hanggang Saan, and she’s also gearing up for the final theater run of her hit movie “Changing Partners” sa PETA Theater next month.
