Incentive sa pelikulang mananalo ng international award aprub na

   Inaprubahan na ng House committee on appropriations ang panukala na bigyan ng incentives ang mga Filipino filmmaker na mananalo sa mga prestihiyosong international film festivals.     Ayon sa inaprubahang Film Industry Incentives Act ng komite ni Davao City Rep. Karlo Nograles magkakaroon ng Special Film Industry Incentives Fund na pamamahalaan ng Film Development Council of the Philippines.     Mangaggaling ang P100 milyong inisyal na pondo nito sa Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation at Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office. Sa mga susunod na taon ay isasama ang pondo sa FDCP.     Sinabi ni Quezon City Rep. Alfred Vargas, may-akda ng panukala, mas marami ang mahihikayat na gumawa ng magagandang pelikula upang maging kalahok sa mga international competition.     “In the Philippines, alternative cinema production is on the rise with 84 percent of locally made movies every year consisting of indie films. Challenges remain, however. One particular obstacle is the lack of funds for marketing. As such, most indie films rarely become box office hits,” ani Vargas.     Sa ilalim ng panukala, bibigyan ng P5 milyong incentives ang mga full-length feature o documentary film na mananalo ng highest recognition for technical o artistic excellence sa kilalang international film festivals.     Bibigyan naman ng P3 milyon ang mga gumawa ng nanalong short feature o documentary film.     Makatatanggap naman ng P2 milyon ang film director, main artist, screenplay, o technical support filmmaker personnel kasama ang scriptwriter, cinematographer, editor, production designer, music scoring, sound director, audio or video technician, na mananalo ng highest international awards sa kani-kanilang kategorya.     Bibigyan naman ng P1 milyon ang supporting artist o technician na mananalo.     Ang mga mananalong pelikula ay nakatitiyak na rin ng A rating mula sa Cinema Evaluation Board. 30
