WHEN Sharon Cuneta posted a photo of Hollywood star Phoebe Cates and shared on her Instagram account that she was once called Phoebe, a lot of netizens raised eyebrows.
“This is Phoebe (pronounced Fee-Bee) Cates. When I was a teenager, she and Brooke Shields were my favorite model-actors. Later on people would come up to me saying I looked like Phoebe, or magkahawig kami, or I reminded them of her or vice-versa. However you want to put it!
“There was a time we both had long, wavy hair and I think that was when the ‘biglang tingin’ resemblance reached its peak. It’s gotten so, that to this day members of my Megaband still call me Phoebe. Wala naman akong magawa (dahil ayoko nga ideny!!! Hahaha!) kundi magdasal na sana ang mga nagsabing hawig kami ay wala naman palang katarata sa mata, o mataas ang grado ng mata.

That was Sharon’s caption sa photo niya ni Phoebe. Sadly, puro nega ang comments when it surfaced sa isang website.
