PNoy dadalo sa Dengvaxia probe ng Kamara

  Inaasahan ang pagdalo ni dating Pangulong Benigno Simeon Aquino at dating Budget Sec. Florencio Abad sa pagdinig ng House committees on good government at on health ngayong araw (Lunes) sa isyu ng Dengvaxia.

    Inimbitahan din sa pagdinig sina dating Health Sec. Janet Garin, Budget Secretary Benjamin Diokno, Health Secretary Francisco Duque III, Education Secretary Leonor Briones, Interior and Local Government OIC Secretary Eduardo Año, Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II at Chief Public Attorney Persida Acosta at representative ng Sanofi S.A., ang gumawa ng Dengvaxia.

    Sa naunang pagdinig ay Ipinunto ng chairman ng good government committee na si Johnny Pimentel ang conflict of interest ng ilang nag-apruba sa paggamit ng Dengvaxia.

      “To be fair, we may also ask all health officials and experts at the hearing to voluntarily disclose any potential conflicts of interest they may have in this case,” ani Pimentel. “We may probe them if they or any of their family members have or have had any dealings or connections, now or in the past, with either Sanofi or Zuellig, or both, that may be perceived as posing a possible conflict of interest in this case.”

    Ang Pilipinas ang unang bansa na gumamit ng Dengvaxia noong 2016. Mayroong mga magulang na naniniwala na ang bakuna ang dahilan ng pagkamatay ng kanilang anak.

    Umabot sa 830,000 estudyante ang nabakunahan ng Dengvaxia.
