‘Pwede palang magmahalan ang 2 taong di pa kailanman nagkikita!’

SINADYA naming ilaan ang espasyong ito to see print today, exactly two days bago dumating ang ikalawang buwan since we resigned from Radyo Singko.

While it’s still a matter of getting used to a routine far from our daily grind, gusto naming gamitin (for lack of a better term) ang pagkakataong ito to look back and thank ang isa sa iilang mga kasamahan sa Radyo Singko na hindi namin napagpaalaman, casually or otherwise.

Beyond words ang dapat naming ipagpasalamat kay Dr. Edinel Calvario, anchor of Radyo Singko’s weekend program Healing Galing.

Oddly, hindi pa kami nagkikita nang personal, but we would occasionally communicate through text o sa pagtawag.

December 2016, our sixth month with Radyo Singko, noong padalhan niya kami ng isang kahon ng persimmon. Imagine sending a Pamasko to a virtual stranger?

The following year ay naging constant ang communication namin ni Dr. Edinel who had shown more than a sisterly concern para sa aming kalagayan.

Third week of February nang padalhan niya kami ng mga libreng Healing Galing na gamot, even bottles of healing oil, proven effective to address our lumbar problem.

Kung paanong these organic medications are proven to cause health wonders ay bunga na rin ng word of mouth advertsing. Napag-alaman namin that a good number of our neighbors in Pasay City have patronized and are still patronizing Healing Galing products.

To bolster this fact ay nang minsang magkausap kami ni Lolit Solis sa telepono, her younger sister daw kasi refuses treatment by an oncologist dahil sa sobrang paniniwala sa Healing Galing. Ibinigay namin ang address nito (2nd floor, Stem Cell & Longevity Clinic, Barangay Talipapa, Novaliches, Quezon City).

Halos ilang tumbling lang ‘yon mula sa Fairview residence ni ‘Nay Lolit who’s familiar with the vicinity map dahil malapit lang din ‘yon sa memorial park kung saan nakalibing ang kanyang mga magulang.
‘Nay Lolit’s sister has confessed to having found healing from Healing Galing.

Now back to Dr. Edinel.

Mid-2017 when she had her TV crew dispatched to Radyo Singko para kunan kami ng testimonial. That interview was to be aired sa kanyang programa, unknowingly on our part sa kanyang birthday episode.

Nakakatawa dahil napanood ‘yon ng isa naming kaeskuwela sa high school who thought we suffered a stroke, at bumuti lang ang aming kalagayan through Healing Galing.

Came December last year. Nagbitiw kami sa Radyo Singko on the 14th, Dr. Edinel’s paper supot containing bottles of liquid calcium and a large bottle of healing oil was sent to us.

While we had extended our perfunctory thanks ay walang kaalam-alam si Dr. Edinel that we already tendered our irrevocable resignation.

After Christmas ay nagpapalitan pa kami ng text messages, that was a day before she flew to New York to spend the holidays with her daughter. Still, parang umurong ang aming dila sa pagsasabing wala na kami sa kanya ring tahanan.

Dr. Edinel even asked what pasalubong from the US we wanted from her. Sabi namin, her safe flight would be all. A trade of I love you’s through text ensued (sa dalawang taong hindi pa nagkikita upclose and personal, ha?

Oo, hindi kailangang magharap ang dalawang nilalang to express genuine love, respect and concern for each other, kung paanong hindi sa lahat ng pagkakataon ay nakakatiyak kang there exists the same between two people na laging magkasama (Familiarity breeds contempt, ‘di ba?).

Mabuhay po kayo, Dr. Edinel Calvario (muli po, ang aming taos puso’t walang sawang pasasalamat). Long live Healing Galing.
