SINABIHAN ng Palasyo ang mga opisyal ng gobyerno na wag maging balat sibuyas sa mga batikos laban sa kanila sa harap naman ng reklamo sa isang mataas na opisyal ng Malacanang.
“I think we should heed the example of President Duterte himself ‘no. President Duterte, I have said it time and again has never filed any libel case ‘no. He knows out of his very long years in public service that public officials should not be onion-skinned,” sabi ni Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque sa isang press briefing.
Ito’y sa harap naman ng reklamo laban sa kay Presidential Task Force on Media Security head Joel Egco na inakusahan na nasa likod ng death threat at harassment sa ilang miyembro ng media.
“I will investigate this matter,” dagdag pa ni Roque.
Sinabi pa ni Roque na maging siya ay nakakaranas din ng mga pagbatikos.
“I am not also new to criticism particularly on the part of bloggers ‘no. I take it in stride knowing that people are intelligent enough to know what the truth is. So, we should not be onion-skinned. That is the advice of the Supreme Court to all public officials. And ako, I walk the talk. And you know what I’m talking about,” ayon pa kay Roque.
