Dapat umanong iwasan na ni Philippine National Police chief Director General Ronald ‘Bato’ dela Rosa ang pagiging kengkoy at seryosohin na ang pag-aresto sa mga tiwaling pulis.
Ayon kay Ako Bicol Rep. Alfredo Garbin Jr., maaaring hindi siniseryoso si dela Rosa dahil sa estilo nito.
“On the demeanor and style of PNP chief, sana baguhin na niya wag yung pa-kengkoy kengkoy. Minsan hindi na po yata siya sineseryoso ngayon. Parang lahat na lang sound bytes,” ani Garbin.
Tinutuligsa si dela Rosa na nanood ng concert at laban ni Sen. Manny Pacquiao sa Estados Unidos samantalang ang mga pulis na nasa ilalim niya ay gumagawa ng krimen gaya ng pagpatay sa negosyanteng Koreano sa loob ng Camp Crame.
“A few steps from his office doon pinatay yung Koreano, wala nang takot eh,” ani Garbin. “I’m not calling for resignation, I’m just calling on the PNP chief to reassess his leadership whether he can still call or command respect for his men, if they can still serve and protect the people, not to kill and get money from the victims.”
Sinabi naman ni CIBAC Rep. Sherwin Tugna na sana ay mayroon ng mangyari sa kaso ng pinaslang na Koreano.
“He should prove that he still deserves to be the PNP leader… For me, let us still give him a chance provided he shapes up,” ani dela Rosa. “I’m personally giving a deadline on him on the next 60 days, he should cooperate with the investigating body and the case buildup against the police officers involved in the murder of the Korean.”
