PINAGSOSORI ni Foreign Affairs Secretary Perfecto Yasay si United Nations (UN) special rapporteur Agnes Callamard matapos umano ang paninira sa Pilipinas kaugnay ng extrajudicial killings s(EJK) sa bansa.
“Oh, yes I think that is demanded by the situation. She has damaged the country tremendously by her statement,” sabi ni Yasay.
Idinagdag ni Yasay na sinira ni Callamard ang imahe ng Pilipinas dahil sa alegasyon na may basbas ng gobyerno ang nangyayaring EJK sa bansa.
“People had jumped into conclusions that extrajudicial killings have been perpetrated in the Philippines, that there is rampant violation and state-sponsored violation of human rights,” ayon pa kay Yasay.
Sinabi pa ni Yasay na ang pahayag din ni Callamard ang naging basehan ng US para tanggalan ng ayuda ang Pilipinas.
“The damage that she has wrought on the basis of her responsibility is so great. It demands no less than an apology,” sabi ni Yasay.
