Pacquiao personal na request ng Cambodia na isama sa delegasyon ni Duterte

PHNOM PEHN, CAMBODIA- KABILANG si Sen. Manny Pacquiao sa kasama sa opisyal na delegasyon ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa Cambodia kung saan isports ang una sa listahan ng matatalakay sa bilateral meeting sa pagitan ng presidente at ni Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen.

Sa isang press conference, sinabi ni Philippine Ambassador to Cambodia Christopher Montero na personal na hiniling ng Cambodia si Pacquiao na mapabilang sa delegasyon ni Duterte.

“Because it is to them, he is an example of Asian making it to the international scene,” sabi ni Montero.

 Idinagdag ni Montero na nais ng Pilipinas na maisulong ang kahalagahan ng isports kayat isinama si Pacquiao sa delegasyon ni Duterte.

“Sa sports naman po when you talk about sports, its our way furthering people to people exchanges, also exchange of best practices on sports management and also training exchange of sports officials. We would like to highlight the importance of sports as a means to foster people to people exchanges to promote tourism,” idinagdag ni Montero.

Nakatakdang dumating kahapon ng hapon si Duterte dito sa Cambodia kung saan makikipagkita muna siya sa mahigit 1,000 miyembro ng Filipino community bago ang nakatakdang bilateral meeting nila ni Hun Sen.

Samantala, kabilang sa mga kasamang delegasyon pa rin ni Duterte ay sina Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa at Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano at Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea.
