Sey ng Mano Po 7 cast: Ginawa naman namin ang lahat para makapasok sa MMFF!
PASKONG-CHINOY ang pasabog ng mag-inang Lily at Roselle Monteverde sa grand media-con ng “Mano Po 7 Chinoy”. Binihisan ng Chinese decorations ng Valencia Events Place kahapon with matching Dragon and Lion dance na inarkila ng Regal Films.
Very festive at colorful ang dinatnan ng media sa events place pati na suot ng main cast gaya nina Richard Yap, Jean Garcia, Enchong Dee, Janella Salvador, Jake Cuenca, Jessy Mendiola, Marlo Mortel, Kean Cipriano, Ms. Rebecca pati na si Eric Quizon na may special participation sa movie at ang soon to be groom-director na si Ian Lorenos.
Halos lahat ng main cast ay first timer sa franchise ng “Mano Po” except for Eric na naging cast ng “Mano Po 1.” Siyempre, masaya at grateful sila na maging bahagi ng bagong installment ng “MP.”
“I’m very lucky to be part of this movie kahit hindi ako Chinese,” sabi ni Jake. Sa panig naman ni Enchong, nasa probinsiya pa siya nu’ng pinapanood ang “MP.”
“First time ko silang nakatrabaho lahat except for Eric. Sila first time kasi ilang taon na rin naman ako nasa Siyete. Itong mga ito, taga-Dos. Pag nabibigyan ka ng pelikula, nabibigyan ka ng opportunity to work with them. Kasi hindi ko pa alam kung kelan uli ako mapupunta sa Dos,” sey naman ni Jean.
“This is such an honor to be part of Regal Entertainment. This is my first time in Regal and Mano Po franchise. Akala ko kasi hanggang Regal Shocker lang ako. At least, Regal Baby na ako,” pahayag naman ni Richard.
Ano ang na-feel nila nang hindi mapili ang movie para sa festival? “Of course, nalulungkot kaming lahat na hindi kami nakasali doon because we did everything possible para maging worthy siya para maging MMFF entry. But we can’t do anything about it kasi ‘yun ang desisyon nila.
“We just have to live with it and do our best by showing this before MMFF. Para maging masaya naman ang mga tao kahit hindi na kami kasama,” paliwanag ni Richard.
“Mas nalungkot ako para sa staff kasi sila ‘yung pinaka-excited na makasama sa MMFF. Wala kaming magagawa. We just have to do our best to be blockbuster. Ginawa namin ang best namin para ma-appreciate. Ang goal naman namin is makagawa ng good film. Nakagawa kami ng finished product and we’re proud to show it,” sey naman ni Kean.
“Well of course, I feel so sad. When I heard about it talagang umiyak ako. Why? Talagang it’s there already wala na tayong magagawa. I heard daw, we are number 8 or 9. But it’s really sayang, after this year, sa next year’s festival, they should understand. It’s not that I’m teaching them.
“These people, like CDE, meron silang bonus. Once they get their bonus, they bring their whole family to the movies to watch. Kasi nanghihinayang ako sa mga bata.
“This is a family. Let’s hope next year, the entire system will be changed!” diin ni Mother Lily.
Sa Dec. 14 ang showing ng “Mano Po 7”. Bukod sa pasabog na presscon, may isa pang aabangang pasabog ang Regal bago ang showing ng pelikula.
