Tito Sen kinuwestyon ang bagong patakaran ng MMFF organizers

HINDI nagustuhan ni si Sen. Tito Sotto ang tila pagpabor ng organizers ng Metro MMFF sa mga malalaking movie productions matapos itong mag-announce na ang lahat ng gustong makasali sa taunang festival ay kailangang makapag-submit na ng finished product sa Nov. 2.

In-announce ng MMFF sa Facebook noong Oct. 26 na tatanggapin nila ang entries na matatapos sa sinasabi nilang “picture lock stage,” ibig sabihin maaari pang gumawa ng “enhancements” sa kanilang mga pelikula ang mga mapipili.

“However, any revision to a film’s edit after it has been selected will result in the disqualification from the festival,” sey pa ng MMFF.

Ito ang hindi sinang-ayunan ni Sen. Sotto, aniya sa panayam ng ABS-CBN, “Ang sinasabi ng indie producers, ‘Bakit mo tutulungan iyong hindi sumunod sa rules at ‘di nakatapos, kaming maliliit ang tulungan ninyo!”

Kamakailan, may lumabas na ulat na meron ng 27 films na nakasama sa MMFF shortlist at walo lang dito ang papasok sa Magic 8 na maglalaban-laban sa December.
