NANGAKO si Pangulong Duterte na hindi na magmumura at magsasalita ng bulgar matapos umano niyang “makausap” ang Diyos habang sakay ng eroplano pauwi ng Pili-pinas mula sa kanyang pagbisita sa Japan.
“I was looking at the skies while I was coming over here and everybody was asleep, snoring, but a voice said that, you know, ‘If you don’t stop epithets, I will bring this plane down now.’ And I said, ‘Who is this?’ So, of course, it’s God. Okay,” sabi ni Duterte sa kanyang talumpati sa kanyang pagdating sa Davao City mula sa Japan Huwebes ng gabi.
“So, I promised God to—not to express slang, cuss words and everything. So you guys hear me right always because promise to God is a promise to the Filipino people,” dagdag ng Pangulo.
Kabilang sa mga nabiktima ng mura at bulgar na salita ni Duterte sina Pope Francis, US President Barack Obama, dating US Ambassador Philip Goldberg, ang United Nations at European Union, at si Sen. Leila de Lima.
