Krusyal na ika-3 panalo hangad ng Barangay Ginebra Kings vs Meralco Bolts

MAKUBRA ang krusyal na ikatlong panalo ang hangad ng Barangay Ginebra Gin Kings kontra Meralco Bolts sa Game Five ng kanilang 2016 PBA Governors’ Cup best-of-seven championship series ngayong alas-6:30 ng gabi sa Smart Araneta Coliseum sa Cubao, Quezon City.

Magiging masama man ang panahon bunga ng bagyong Karen, inaasahan na magiging pukpukan pa rin ang salpukan ng Gin Kings at Bolts sa loob ng Big Dome sa hangarin nilang mahablot ang krusyal na 3-2 bentahe sa kanilang serye.

At katulad nga ng kanilang naunang apat na laban, siguradong dikitan ang bakbakan sa Game 5 kung saan nagpapalitan ng panalo ang dalawang koponan.

Tabla sa tig-dalawang panalo bawat isa, pinaghatian ng Barangay Ginebra at Meralco ang naunang apat na laro kung saan wala sa dalawang koponan ang nagwagi ng higit sa limang puntos.

Nakauna ang Meralco matapos magwagi sa overtime, 114-109, sa Game One ng kanilang Finals duel.

Nanaig naman ang Barangay Ginebra sa Game Two, 82-79, para itabla ang serye sa tig-isang panalo bago naagaw ng Meralco ang kalamangan sa serye, 2-1, matapos manalo sa Game Three, 107-103.

Itinabla ng Gin Kings ang serye sa 2-2 matapos makalusot sa Game Four, 88-86.

“It’s now a best-of-three. We go from here,” sabi ni Barangay Ginebra coach Tim Cone.

“I’m not sure what will happen with the weather but we will just stay focused on what we need to do to win Game Five,” sabi ni Meralco coach Norman Black.
